Keeping your anger in check is very important to maintain professionalism and harmony within your team at work. That’s not to say you can’t be angry, you just need to express it in an acceptable manner. This Anger Management online course will introduce you to some concepts on how to deal with anger and how to express your concerns effectively.
In this course, we will explore the nature of anger and its effects on your body, mind, and behaviour. You will learn to recognise how anger manifests within you and discover strategies to break old patterns, replacing them with a constructive five-step method for assertive anger management. By the end, you will be equipped to control your own anger and emotions, even when faced with anger directed at you. Additionally, you will gain skills to help others manage their anger, whether it is repressed or openly expressed.
This course is approximately 30 minutes and is separated into 4 modules, the last of which is a quiz in which you must achieve a score of 80% or more to pass.
Learning objectives
By the end of this course, you will be able to:
- Recognise the effect anger has on you, with regard to your body, mind and behaviour
- Break old patterns and replace them with a model for assertive anger using the five-step method
- Control your own anger and your emotions when anger is directed at you
- Help others manage their anger, whether it is repressed or expressed
