Description
Course Overview
A research study from Microsoft UK in 2019 found:
- 58% of teachers believed the current education system failed to prepare students for a digital future
However the same research found:
- Only 15% of teachers felt confident using technology
- And only 33% received any hands on training
With full online tutor support, this course focuses on planning a curriculum that incorporates learning technologies, whilst allowing you to develop and evaluate your own digital skills. During the online course you are required to produce a lesson plan and be observed delivering a lesson that makes use of digital technology.
A valuable part of this course is the interaction with others who may have experience of certain technologies in practice and we encourage you to share this experience through the forums. This course accounts for 50 hours of Continual Professional Development (CPD) and a certificate of achievement is issued upon successful completion.
