We are delighted to announce that Kaz Type Ltd is now partnering with us to offer organisations and individuals the opportunity to gain a national Ofqual regulated qualification in touch typing, at either level 1 or 2:
- Level 1 Award in Touch Typing (4 RQF Credits)
- Level 2 Award in Touch Typing (6 RQF Credits)
Since launching their first typing course in 1995, Kaz has continually developed the training, taking advantage of educational technology advancements and learning design. In 2018 they worked with The Dyslexia Research Trust to produce a version of the course for special educational needs and dyslexia. an 2019 City and Guilds awarded the course ‘Assured’ status, as it met their strict standards for quality training.
Kaz has continually sought feedback and evaluation of their training, obtaining City and Guilds ‘Assured’ status for the quality of their training in 2018. In 2022 Kaz partnered with Open Awards, an Ofqual regulated awarding organisation, to launch the only touch typing qualification. Furthermore, Kaz qualified as an Approved Duke of Edinburgh’s Award Scheme, DofE, Skills Provider, to offer their inclusive touch typing course and qualification as a skill in the Bronze, Silver and Gold awards.
The course and qualification’s inclusive features make it accessible to mainstream, neuro-divergent, hearing and visually impaired learners. It is ideal for anyone wanting to learn how to touch type, correct bad habits, improve their typing skill and gain a national qualification that adds to their education record.
For those who are already confident touch typists, the course assessment can be purchased separately to obtain a touch typing qualification in recognition of current skills.
