A complete A0, A1 & A2 English course for pre-beginners and elementary learners. Journey 2 Basic Skills is a fully interactive English language online course. This online course enables learners to function at an elementary level-A1 on the CEFR framework. Journey 2 Basic Skills uses authentic conversations to introduce the sounds and letters of English. Students learn individual phonemes and the formation of English letters through animations.

Journey 2 English (Intermediate B1-to-B2)
An accredited digital course for intermediate learners of English at levels B1 & B2. This is an accredited online English course endorsed by the SQA and City & Guilds. Aligned to level B1/B2 of the CEFR framework, Journey 2 English provides learners with an interactive course, giving them an insight into life in the UK by taking them on a tour of the country from Inverness to London. Explore the English language with over 300 activities and 100 hours of interactive content. Journey 2 English has two units, each with 5 modules to cover ‘English for Everyday Use’ and ‘English for Work and Study’.

A0 Pre-beginner
Pre-beginners can take the Journey 2 Basic Skills course to enable them to function at an elementary level-A1 on the CEFR framework.
A1 Beginner
At the A1 CEFR level, a language learner can:
- Understand and use familiar expressions and very basic phrases aimed at meeting your everyday needs.
- Introduce yourself to others and can ask and answer questions about personal details such as where you live, people you know and things you have. you can interact in a simple way.
A2 Elementary English
At the A2 CEFR level, a language learner can:
- Understand sentences and frequently used expressions related to areas of most immediate relevance.
- Communicate in simple and routine tasks requiring a simple and direct exchange of information on familiar and routine matters.
- Describe in simple terms aspects of your background, immediate environment and matters in areas of immediate need.
B1 Intermediate English
At the B1 CEFR level, a language learner can:
- Understand the main points of clear standard input on familiar matters regularly encountered in work, school, leisure.
- Deal with most situations likely to arise while travelling in an area where the language is spoken.
- Produce simple connected text on topics which are familiar or of personal interest.
- Describe experiences, events, dreams, hopes and ambitions, and briefly give reasons and explanations for opinions and plans.
B2 Upper Intermediate English
At the B2 CEFR level, a language learner can:
- Understand the main ideas of complex text on both concrete and abstract topics, including technical discussions in your field of specialisation.
- Interact with a degree of fluency and spontaneity that makes regular interaction with native speakers quite possible without strain for either party.
- Produce clear, detailed text on a wide range of subjects and explain a viewpoint on a topical issue giving the advantages and disadvantages of various options.
