Bullying and Harassment is still an issue in the workplace. Reportedly 47% of employees have experienced workplace conflict but simply ‘let it go’. Only 29% of employees actually raised their concerns with a manager or HR, indicating a worrying gap between how employers feel their policy protects workers and how employees actually feel doubtful that raising a complaint will be resolved.
This Bullying and Harassment in the Workplace online training is broken down into three easy-to-follow study units with the following titles:
- Definition & Employer Responsibilities
- Recognising Incidents & Implementing a Policy
- Dealing with Complaints
The online materials include quizzes and activities to help reinforce learning as learners work through the course.
Learning objectives
On completion of this online course learners will be able to:
- Describe the meaning of the terms ‘bullying’ and ‘harassment’
- Recognise the signs of bullying and harassment in the workplace
- Respond to complaints of bullying and/or harassment
- Explain the legal responsibilities employers have for dealing with incidents of bullying and harassment
- Establish procedures for dealing with grievance and disciplinary matters and ensure all employees are familiar with them
