‘The current use of Information Communication Technology in Independent Training Providers’ report was written by our Managing Director Carolyn Lewis on behalf of the Association of Employment and Learning Providers for the Learning Futures Programme.

The report is intended to provide an insight into the current use, and barriers and challenges to use, of Information Communication and Learning Technology (ICLT) in the government funded independent training provider (ITP) sector. It looks at whether ICLT is impacted by:

• Size of provider
• Senior management knowledge of ICLT and its use
• Vision and strategy
• Staff skills
• Availability of resources.

The report concludes with recommendations for future action to improve the use of ICLT across the ITP sector.
