Description
Now, more than ever, diversity is important. Teams are made of people from various ethnicities, sexual preferences and religious beliefs. It’s important to embrace these traits to get the most out of your team and help the workplace thrive. This celebrating diversity online course will equip you on how to be inclusive and make sure that everyone feels part of the team.
In this course, we will explore effective communication skills in a workplace, encompassing writing, speaking, and listening, as well as the creation of professional documents such as resumes, cover letters, and emails. Furthermore, participants will gain insights into understanding and navigating cultural differences in communication within a diverse workplace.
The course will also cover strategies for networking and building relationships in the professional world. By the end of this course, participants will be able to define ‘diversity’ and its related terms, assess their awareness of diversity and areas for improvement, identify stereotypes, explain the four cornerstones of diversity, recognise pitfalls related to diversity and strategies to avoid them, develop techniques for dealing with inappropriate behaviour, cultivate a management style that encourages diversity, and describe steps to take if discrimination is experienced by oneself or employees.
