Description
Sometimes children and young people behave in ways we don’t understand. In this online course we’ll look at what behaviour can tell us about the child, what behaviour is unacceptable, and your role in managing behaviour. We’ll explore some ways of doing this as well as the deeper background in why challenging behaviours occur.
The course explores examples of what is unacceptable behaviour, and who is responsible. You will learn how to describe different types of challenging behaviour, and the situations where it occurs – observable and hidden. You will also get an understanding of why it happens, its consequences, and some tips for managing it in different age groups
