Cyber attacks are becoming more and more sophisticated and people are the primary line of defence against online crime. With this short cyber security training course, you can gain essential awareness of cyber security and learn some simple techniques to protect yourself and others from such attacks.

Cyber attacks are becoming more and more sophisticated as attackers learn how to target our innate human weaknesses, using manipulation and coercion through social engineering tactics.

Course Aim

This cyber security online course aims to both inform you of the risks of cyber attacks and provide you with practical hints and tips for mitigating such risks.

Course Content

This online course on cyber security includes five lessons taking you through the key cyber crime risks. It uses real life case studies and offers practical tips to help mitigate these risks. The modules included are:

1)     Why is cyber security important?

2)     What is phishing and social engineering and why is it important?

3)     How to stay safe online and keep information secure

4)     How to identify and report a data breach or cyber attack incident

5)     Take 5: Insight into five cyber security changes you can make right now

Followed by a short quiz to test your knowledge of cyber security.

• Site Licence – a licence to install one course, or one or more bundles of courses on your own learning management system. The site licence consists of a number of enrolments to use on any course for any learner in the bundle;
