Get Set UK

Background

Get Set UK was founded in 2009, offering services that focus on employability, skills, justice and health. They support individuals to get access to the support and training they need to find rewarding work. Their business support unlocks the potential of the workforce through training, recruitment and apprenticeships.

The organisation has worked with over 4,000 local communities, businesses and partners to provide vocational qualifications, long-term apprenticeships and support with their workplace training. Since 2009 they have helped over 37,000  individuals with career advice, upskilling and finding employment.

The Challenge

Get Set UK were seeking a training provider who would offer the flexibility to consider new ideas and adapt to their varying requirements. With a wide range of training needs Get Set UK knew that they would require a provider with a comprehensive course portfolio with wide ranging topics. Responsive customer service and technical support were also a key requirement, as it was imperative that staff received prompt, expert advice at the point of need.

The Solution

Andra, Head of HR, Learning and Organisational Development at Get Set UK contacted Core Learning Services, (the parent company of eLearning Marketplace, and who manage all of eLearning Marketplace’s larger business customers, as well as their own), as they had a strong reputation for responsiveness and support. She was immediately impressed by their extensive course offerings, along with the team’s proactive and confident approach to long-term support. The account managers that Andra communicated with were friendly and supportive, providing the advice and guidance, and free evaluation of courses that she required.

The Outcome

Get Set UK has been working with Core Learning since October 2023. They are benefitting from a branded instance of Core Learning’s learning management system (LMS), which is integrated with their HR system.  Enrolling staff on courses, tracking their progress and running a variety of management reports are just a few of the functions available through the LMS, which Andra says is “user friendly with good administrative functionality”.
