Part One focuses on pre-planning and preparation prior to travel and looks at what you can do to avoid many of the foreseeable risks before your travel. For example, route planning, equipment packing, understanding and researching your intended destination.
Part Two is more video-based content that helps you to identify personal risk during your travels, anticipating situations of harm and therefore avoiding potentially dangerous situations. We help to raise your situational awareness by understanding the body language signs emitted by persons with a criminal or hostile intent. We equip you with a systematic approach in analysing your environment and make informed decisions about the level of your own safety in any location. Other areas include how to prepare exit strategies in the event of civil unrest, a natural disaster or terrorist attack.
The course comes with downloadable resources to take away with you as handy reminders about the learning points covered in this course.
Assessment and Certificate
Following completion of the two modules, there is a brief assessment leading to a certificate of achievement. And to complete the course, there is a brief ‘learner feedback’ survey – as part of continuing product development, we would love to hear what you think of the course!
