Product Description

Qualifications and Credit Framework (QCF)

The TAQA Internal Quality Assurer (IQA) qualifications consist of learning outcomes and assessment criteria from the Qualifications and Credit Framework (QCF) at level 4. Each qualification awards QCF Credits, Certificates are 13-36 credits and Diplomas are 37 and above. One credit equals approximately 10 hours of learning. This is a combination of contact time with your trainer/assessor, and non-contact time for you own study.

The qualification units form part of the Training, Assessment and Quality Assurance (TAQA) suite of qualifications for England, Wales and Northern Ireland; separate standards are available in Scotland.

Qualification Routes

The IQA qualifications are made up of a combination of units according to job role. The knowledge unit, which is a requirement of all three qualification routes, can be undertaken whether the candidate is in an IQA job role or not. For those working in an IQA role there are then one or two performance units depending on the requirements of their job role.

Your choice of qualification will depend upon your role and what you will be quality assuring:
