- Inspire the confidence to conduct risk assessments, deal with basic welfare and health matters and understand common health and safety risks
- Be able to conduct basic risk assessments and understand the legal requirements surrounding health and safety at work
- Appreciate the need for, and the benefits of employee welfare regulations including safety committees and safety representatives
