Description
The online course is line with the Equality Act 2010, covers all forms of discrimination, harassment, victimisation, action, adjustments and vicarious liability. In addition, it features short activities based around abusive terms and phrases as well as an exercise exploring stereotypes and generalisations. The course concludes with a 20 question multiple choice assessment, this based on issues of importance in the workplace. Certificates will automatically be made available to all who have taken the course and acheived 60% or more in the multiple choice assessment.
The course is designed to not only educate and empower staff but also to create greater citizenship and social harmony. The information contained in the course is helpful in challenging myths that impact upon marginalized communities and minority groups who are often the most susceptible to discrimination across society. Further, it offers background to the historic origins of prejudice against different groups as well as imparting information about the process in addressing inequalities in the working environment.
